Commitment
Accessibility
A children's reading site should work for every child. This is what Version 1 already does, and what still needs auditing.
- A skip-to-content link and a single main landmark on every page.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, filters and links with visible focus rings.
- All animation is subtle, non-looping, and disabled entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion.
- Silhouette placeholders and decorative flourishes are marked so screen readers announce only meaningful content.
- Body text sized for comfortable reading, with generous line height and no text baked into images.
A full WCAG 2.2 AA audit, including screen-reader testing with real users, is planned before public launch. If you hit a barrier, please tell us on the contact page.
