Agoo
Twi (Akan)
A polite call meaning “may I come in?” or “listen, please”. The expected reply is “Amee”.
“Agoo!” Ntikuma called at the workshop door, and a voice inside answered, “Amee.”
“Ti koro nkɔ agyina.”
An Akan proverb: “one head does not go into council” — good decisions need more than one person’s thinking.
